Ngalla Maya’s training provides candidates with high-risk training so they are ready to enter the construction and mining industries.

Training is available through Ngalla Maya’s vital community programs.  Visit our programs page to check your eligibility and then send your completed EOI form to enquiries@ngallamaya.org.au or get in touch with our team to express your interest. Once staff can confirm a placement is available, they will request that you bring your identification into Ngalla Maya’s Welshpool offices. Please Note: Staff cannot accept identification via email, this must be done in person!

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIAS

Prison to Community Reintegration Program 

  • Over the age of 18.
  • Of Australian Aboriginal decent & been released from prison/Justice System since July 2021.
  • Available to complete all Pre Employment Support Activities at Ngalla Maya’s Office in Welshpool prior to commencement of Training.
  • Prepared and committed to having a go and having a positive attitude

At-Risk Reinstatement Program

  • Over the age of 18
  • Of Australian Aboriginal descent and is currently in the court system (not yet sentenced and/or not yet in scope for prison.
  • Available to complete all Pre Employment Support Activities at Ngalla Maya’s Office in Welshpool prior to commencement of Training.
  • Prepared and committed to having a go and having a positive attitude

Ngalla Maya’s Prison to Employment Reintegration program has a high success rate for Aboriginal ex-offenders to gain long-term employment opportunities.  Our pre-employment support activities include resume building, interview skills, personal presentation and skill identification.

Ngalla Maya’s At-Risk and Social Justice Reinstatement program offers Indigenous Australians who are currently in the WA court system an opportunity to redirect their lives through education, pre-employment training, mentoring and employment support.
